Benchmark and monitor the culture of excellence and ethics for data-driven school improvement with CEEA Survey and Data Process

Since 2004, the Collective Responsibility for Excellence & Ethics instrument has been used in multiple schools and districts around the country, including those participating in several Partnerships for Character Education Program projects administered by the Federal Department of Education. It is built around a conceptual model (Khmelkov, Davidson, and Lickona, 2007-2009) that identifies school inputs, intermediate, and long-term outcomes related to the culture and competencies of excellence and ethics. In 2009-2010, a new version of this instrument was developed, named Culture of Excellence & Ethics Assessment™ (CEEA) Survey. Both instruments are available for school use:

  • CEEA Survey (v4.2)

Culture of Excellence & Ethics Assessment™ (CEEA v4.2) survey has been calibrated to deliver data useful for Power2Achieve™ program evaluation. It can also be used for general benchmarking and continuous assessment of school culture and climate that are conducive to the development of excellence and ethics among students and staff. • CREE Survey (v2.7)

Collective Responsibility for Excellence & Ethics (CREE v2.7) survey serves to assess the development of students' performance character and moral character, as well as various aspects of the school climate and culture supporting it. Keep reading

CEEA instruments are available free of charge for end-users, subject to the conditions in the User Agreement. If you would like to use any of our surveys in your work, please review, sign, and submit a copy of the User Agreement to IEE by mail, fax, or email to obtain permission for such use.

IEE and its partner-organizations provide a range of one-time and ongoing assessment services, including consultation on evaluation design and sampling approaches, online data collection, school- or district-level data reporting, phone consultations, and extensive training options on interpretation of data results and integration of CEEA process into school improvement efforts.

If you are interested in assessment services provided by IEE, please contact Deb Finn or Vlad Khmelkov.
